The Forums tab displays the list of forums linked to the virtual space.


The following fields can be seen in the list:

  • Name
  • Created by
  • No. of comments
  • Last post date
  • Star icon - clicking it adds or removes the forum to the favourites

The Details link in the row of the learning materials list navigates to the screen displaying the comments belonging to the Forum topic.

The administrator is authorized to edit the forum topic with the Edit button on the screen.

The administrator is authorized to delete the forum topic with the Delete button on the screen.

The administrator of the community space can close the forum topic with the Close button. After this no comment can be added to the topic. The closed topic appears among the topics of the community space only if the Show closed forums checkbox is selected in the filter when filtering. The administrator can lift the closed status with the Unlock button.


All comments added to the forum topic can be viewed on the screen of the forum entries. The entries can be replied to with the button.

A new comment can be added in the text field below the comments with the basic text formatting functions (font size, font colour, alignment, bulletpoint list etc.). The comment can be finalized with the Send button.

The administrator of the virtual space can delete the undesirable comment with the Delete function below the … dropdown button.

The writer of the comment can edit his or her own comment with the Edit function below the … dropdown button.

 

A new forum topic can be recorded with the New button on the Forums tab.


The following data must be provided in a popup window:

  •  Name: name of the new topic.
  •  Public: The topic can be marked public when a new topic is added. If it is set non-public, only the assigned users, user groups will see it. The system automatically adds the creator to the users.
  • Description

The new forum topic is created by clicking the Save button.
