In the menu you must select the Messages option to view the messages, to write new messages and make the relevant settings. In Neptun the administrators dealing with educational matters and the tutors can send messages, and also the students for whom this function is enabled on the Settings tab. Besides, Neptun automatically sends messages about the events occuring in the system, e.g. entry of a grade, subject registration by an administrator, change in the schedule of a course etc.

On the Messages screen there are 4 tabs on the tab bar: Inbox, Sent, Archived, Settings


Search field: Searching for name of sender or subject of message (at least 3 characters must be provided for the search)

You can select one of two options by clicking the … button in top right corner of the message on the right:

If you wish to print the message stream, select the required print template in the popup window, then click Select button. The message is downloaded in PDF format, and it can be printed.


Reply to message

If the reply option is disabled, the following is shown under the message:

Reply to system messages is always disabled.


If a reply is enabled, you can see a blank text box and the Send button is active under the message.


A document can be attached to the message by clicking the icon under the Send button.

Clicking the button two options are available:

Upload file

Attachment from document library

You can browse among the files stored on the computer to Upload files, while by selecting Attachment from document library you can select a file that was sent previously from the library. All sent attachments are stored in the user's document library where they can easily be found and sent to other users as well.

Delete incoming or sent message

Delete option is available by clicking the … icon next to the search field. After clicking the button, checkboxes appear in front of the message streams, and the messages to be deleted can be selected by selecting these checkboxes. The legend under the message stream appears:


The confirmation message after the Delete button is pressed:



There is no change if 'Cancel' button is pressed, if 'Delete' button is applied, the selected message is no more visible on the Sent screen.
