What is subject and what is course? What is the difference between them?

During his or her studies the student must register for and complete subjects. The subjects have credit points, and based on the cluster of completed subjects the student completes his or her studies, that is earns the diploma.

The course bears the pieces of information of the subject that are its special attributes in the given semester, such as the schedule and the teacher. The course always belongs to a subject and must be registered together with the subject. More than one course can belong to a subject (e.g. Lecture + Practice). It may also happen that more courses belonging to the same subject are announced, and the student can select the one that fits his or her timetable best or can select the preferred teacher.
