The student can register for the consultions announced by the institute on the Studies/Consultations screen.
What is a consultation?
A consultation can be an event related closely to the studies but separated from the scheduled classes for which the student can or must register, such as a lab practice connected to the course or preparatory/catch-up lessons for a subject. Optional occupations, events, field trips that can be registered but not closely related to the studies are also such types of events. In certain institutes the student can make an appointment for the reception hours announced by the tutors here.
So the types of consultation that can be registered for on this screen may vary considerably by institute.
The list on the Consultations screen displays all relevant consultations of the training from the consultations connected to the taken courses to the consultations available for all students irrespective of their training (e.g. optional study trips, workshops, office hours of tutors).
The list of consultations can be narrowed down to semester, registration interval, type, name/code of subject, name of consultation. The details of the consultation is available and registration can be performed by clicking the Details link.
In the institutes using thesis module, the student cannot register for thesis consultation here, but on the Studies/Degree thesis screen by registering the consultation announced for the selected topic of thesis.
